What do you do? Tell us about your voice-related business(es)!
I love to help young singers on their journey to discovering how singing fits into their lives. That can mean helping them work towards auditions for college music or theatre programs, local performing opportunities like community theatre or coffee house gigs, or being more active in their choir programs, for example. My goal is that any singer I work with will be able to keep singing, whatever their career, well into adulthood.
What are you proudest of in your work?
What is a major hurdle you've overcome in your singing and/or voice business?
How have you and your business grown since joining SECO?
Since joining SECO, I have felt more confident to make bold choices in my studio from the services I provide to the people who are part of it. I found the courage to try something completely new with student performance opportunities within the studio. Before SECO I felt totally isolated as an independent voice teacher, but now I feel like I have the so much support when I have questions about my students’ singing technique, performing, auditioning, emotions. I also feel like I have many different approaches to helping me make the best business decisions for me and my studio.
